PEAFOWL
Peacocks are making a nuisance of themselves according to villagers in Cookley,
Worcestershire. The residents were happy to have the fourteen colourful birds
around at first, but now they are destroying roofs and gardens and generally
making a mess.
Residents are working with officials in attempt to capture the marauding gang.
As yet, nobody has come forward to claim the birds, but officials are hoping
to re-unite them with their owners as soon as possible.
With breeding season approaching, it is feared that the problem may get significantly
worse.

CAPYBARA
Large rodents cause concern to local
villagers
Large
rodent type creatures have been spotted in a Worcestershire village, Brotheridge
Green, the animal is in fact called the Capybara, this is a South American rodent
which can grow as big as a sheep, frightning thought for the villagers there,
who were told by the RSPCA not to approach them as they can give a nasty nip
if they felt threatened, the group of rat like creatures without a tail, possibly
escaped from a private collection and are not expected to last the winter. They're
a semi aquatic herbivore which is are exellent swimmers with their partialy
webbed feet, feeding on aquatic plants etc continually knawing to keep down
their cheek teeth which constantly grow if they don't usually active at dawn
and dusk, but where there is disturbance they will become nocturnal.

MYSTERY CREATURE
KNIGHTWICK:
What's half-fox and half wild boar? A close encounter with a mystery
Mystery Animal - half fox cub, half wild boar - is running around in
the Worcestershire countryside. The creature calmly walked out in front of the
witnesses car on Monday afternoon, Which startled the occupants, Jo Morris,
from Suckley, near Worcester, and her mother, Rachel.
At approx 4pm, they said were halfway up Ankerdine Hill at Knightwick, when the creature appeared. "It was a cross between a Wild Boar and a Fox Cub," said Jo, who is an equestrian trainer. "I have lived in the countryside for 30 years and have never seen anything like it, wild or tame. "It was the size of a half-grown fox cub with a long Roman nose almost like a wild boar's, smallish ears and its skin was brown and mottled. "It had a hunched back and I likened it to a Hyena as it had a smaller front than back. It had a long thin tail, which ruled it out as being a Fox Cub, which develops quite a brush early on."
Ms Morris said they had to brake suddenly as the mystery animal just slowly trotted across the road just a few metres in front of their vehicle then disappeared into the undergrowth. She added that the beast did not seem bothered at all by its encounter with them. "It moved quite slowly and didn't seem in any distress."
After researching the mother and daughter dismissed the idea that the creature may have been a Coypu, which is native to South America, groups of these live in areas of Norfolk. They escaped from zoos and are now breeding successfully in the Fens.
After their encounter, Ms Morris consulted with their local vets, who were equally baffled regarding their sighting.
