Zookeeper stays home with animals
by Matthew Taylor
A zookeeper barricaded himself
in his flat with two wallabies and fourteen tortoises for three weeks after
being sacked for selling monkeys.
48 year-old Steven Riley refused to leave his home inside Tropiquaria at Watchet Somersett. When he did emerge managers found the flat wrecked. The wallabies had been kept in a bedroom.
Mr Riley is claiming unfair dismissal.
