The first national
BRITISH BIG CATS CONFERENCE
24th - 26th March 2006

www.harpur.org/conference.htm

At The Sun Inn Hotel, Marston Trussell, Market Harborough, Leics LE16 9TY

Currently running at an estimated 1200 sightings a year, the glimpse of a black, panther-like animal is now the commonest brush with the unknown in Britain. Yet still none has been caught, alive or dead.

Are these panther, puma or lynx-like animals abandoned pets? Phantoms? The descendants of escapees from Victorian menageries? Part of a secret breeding programme? Modern folklore?

This is the first ever national conference on the subject of these mystery big cats - come along and decide for yourself!
It will include participants from all sides of the phenomenon, from eyewitnesses to zoologists, police officers to field investigators, farmers to folklorists and philosophers
There will be talks, films, slide shows and presentations by experts and eyewitnesses
Forums for audience participation and open discussions
Big cat vigil and demonstration of night vision scopes and trip cameras
New British big cat footage - some never made public before
Tour of big cat hot-spots by local expert Nigel Spencer
Inaugural reception sponsored by Rutland Panther, the award-winning beer from The Grainstore Brewery
Launch of new book on the subject, Mystery Big Cats, from Heart of Albion press
The conference will take place in Marston Trussell in Northamptonshire, on the Leicestershire border - one of the places in Britain where you are most likely to see a big cat.
