WILD BOAR
Wild Boar at golf club
A wild boar went on the rampage at Millbrook Golf Club. It was discovered
by players at the entrance to the club but ran off when it was approached.
Last year ago a similar hairy black hog broke in through a gap in the gate and disturbed golfers putting on the green at the 12th hole. The club has since erected giant fences around the side of the course. Wild boar weigh up to 100 kilos and can be extremely difficult to catch.
A wild boar farm was once situated near the course but this closed around five years ago.
It is suggested that there may be a population of wild boars in the area.
